As we approach NP Week 2024, celebrated from 10th to 16th November, take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices, dedication, and contributions of our nurse practitioners across the nation. At Peachfuzz, we’re deeply grateful for the contributions of these wonderful and dedicated professionals for their expertise, compassion, and the care they render to countless lives. This week, we’re very intentional and focused on celebrating these wonderful heroes, saying thank you to them for going above and beyond every day to save lives.
The Role of Nurse Practitioners in Healthcare
As you might know already, nurse practitioners are licensed and highly skilled clinicians who offer a wide range of healthcare services. In the effort to make quality healthcare accessible to all, these great healthcare heroes and experts diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications, and bridge the gap between physician roles and traditional nursing. They focus on preventive care, ongoing support, and patient care with specialties often in family medicine, women’s health, dermatology, and many more.
In several communities, nurse practitioners are trusted as healthcare providers who build strong relationships with patients. They are dedicated advocates for patient wellness especially in underserved and underrepresented communities while bringing care to those who need it most. This year during NP week 2024, we celebrate these precious individuals, appreciating their hard work and dedication.
How Nurse Practitioners Relate to PeachFuzz Laser
You might just think to yourself, “Why am I reading this on Peachfuzz’s blog?” Aside for the fact that we were founded by an NP. At Peachfuzz we understand the importance of providing expert care, especially in dermatology, skin health, and other specialized treatments, e.g. laser hair removal. Nurse Practitioners in this field play a very important role in our clients' education, guiding them through treatments, their safety, and maintenance. These NPs inform and guide our clients into effective laser hair removal treatments, especially for those with melanin-rich and sensitive skin which are our specialties.
In a nutshell, we work with NPs and healthcare providers to stay up to date on the best practices for special treatments like hyperpigmentation and folliculitis as well as post-treatment care. We remain dedicated to providing safe and high-quality laser hair removal services. Hence, our mission is strengthened by our collaborating with these healthcare experts to ensure that our clients are well supported and cared for.

Lenelle Daniels-Jerome, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC: With a specialty in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology, Lenelle has extensive experience in treatments for skin of color and remains a strong advocate for safe skin care treatments in our community. She’s also a family Nurse Practitioner who has garnered various awards for clinical excellence. She’s a member of Sigma Theta Tau – a distinguished academic honor society of nursing. She’s board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and remains a member of the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Society.
Dr. Peggy Roberts DNP, Np: as a pioneering figure in women’s health and wellness, Dr. Peggy has demonstrated a profound commitment to addressing the healthcare challenges among women in gynecology. She’s an expert in preventive medicine and various gynecology conditions including PCOS. With her life mission to bridge the gap and provide her patients with the best medical care possible, Dr. Peggy has become a visionary force for positive change and has also become the beacon of hope for countless women whose voices have been neglected for too long.
Belinda Narine, DNP-c, PMHNP-BC, ANP-BC: Known for her work in adult psychiatry, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, OCD, depression, and ADHD, Belinda is a psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes in treating her patients with a personalized approach based on their unique situation. She’s also an expert in emergency medicine, internal medicine, healthcare management, and pain management. She’s committed to decreasing hospital stays while providing excellent health care to patients in the comfort of their homes.
